Macduff is a small picturesque fishing town and has the usual amenities such as convenience stores, pubs, restaurants, chemists & hairdressers etc. A doctors and dental surgery are also nearby and a hospital with an A&E is situated in Banff (the neighbouring town which is just 1 mile away). There are two local sports centres and a public swimming pool in Banff.

Macduff also has its on RNLI life boat & visitor centre and Macduff Aquarium is well worth a visit, plenty of sea life to see and touch! .

Macduff is also part of the “North East 250” route the ultimate scottish road trip.

Aberdeenshire is famous for its “whisky” & “Castle” trails and not forgetting golf & fishing. There are plenty of local castles to visit which aren’t too far away. Seaesta Apartments is ideally located in between two golf courses, The Royal Tarlair and The Royal Duff House, both being 18 hole courses and only a 5 min drive to both. Also, on the outskirts of Macduff is a golf range, perfect if you don’t have time to play a round

There are sea fishing trips or you can fish from the harbour if you don’t have adequate sea legs. River fishing does require a permit.

Fancy a day in a City? Aberdeen is approximately an hours drive away, Elgin is also one hour away in the opposite direction with Inverness being less than 2 hours away. Why not visit Nessie, the infamous Loch Ness Monster?

There are excellent public transport facilities with bus stops being just yards away from the apartment. Buses can take you to Banff, Aberdeen and Elgin while passing through small towns on its way.

Local airports are in Aberdeen and also in Inverness both with the availability of car hire.

Scotland has a superb array of wildlife. Just 10 miles along the coast road towards Fraserburgh is Troup Head, a RSPB view point and further along the coast between Rosehearty & Fraserburgh you will usually see Seals basking on rocks. Keep a look out as you drive through the country as may spot deer or a proud stag and I hope you get the chance to see our beautiful Highland Cows.
The Moray Firth (Seaesta’s sea view) has many visits from dolphins (depending on the time of the year) with the location of this property you might be lucky to see them.

The apartment has a good range of leaflets and brochures with local tourist attractions for guests to see and visit.

Local Airports are in Aberdeen and also in Inverness with the availability of car hire. An alternative airport is Edinburgh for you to be able to visit this beautiful part of Scotland.
